The finished project is complete with new flooring, a custom kitchen, and a lavish master bathroom. Below are some highlight of this high-end New York City home remodel:

Mosaic Calcutta marble flooring in the master bathroom is the backdrop for custom cabinetry, a double sink, and separate shower and toilet areas. The cabinet built into the wall elegantly offers extra storage.

Converting Two NYC Apartments into a Large Living Space

Combining two New York City apartments to create a large, luxury living space is a frequent request among Quadrant Development Consultants clients and partners. In this example from the Upper West Side, Quadrant performed a full gut renovation of two apartments, combining them into a 4,000 square foot luxury living space. Highlights from this project include:

Staircase. A gorgeous geometric staircase with glass railing was custom crafted to combine the top and bottom floors. The staircase is entirely supported structurally off the wall, which provides a cool effect showing no visible supports.

Master Bath. The master bath has a truly spa-like feel, with a full-width mirror, double sinks, a soaking tub, and custom water jet tile. The chandelier is the perfect touch for this ultra elegant Upper West Side bathroom.

Media Room. Featuring a cerused oak pocket door, the media room showcases a stone fireplace with a leather finish and high gloss deep purple ceiling for a truly intimate space.

Since the cube never touches the ceiling, it creates a non-imposing structure that blends seamlessly with the overall architecture of the space.

Renovated West Village Townhouse Features Incredible Outdoor Shower

Recently featured in Architectural Digest , actress Maura Tierney’s West Village Town House was a full gut renovation for Quadrant Development Consultants, leading contractors for luxury residences in New York City. The residence was very compartmentalized, which required stripping the three-story townhouse down to the bare framing and tearing down walls to open up the space.

After gutting it, Quadrant modified the space to create an office/siting area on the top floor, added a guest bathroom, and, perhaps most challenging of all, turned a shaft in the center of the building into an outdoor shower. “This required structural modification, as we had to support two stories of wall on top and still allow for an elegant clear-view glass wall for the shower area,” says Vincent Scotto, owner of Quadrant Development Consultants in Brooklyn. “This was the most complicated part of the project, as we wanted to provide Maura with the master bath of her dreams.”

In addition to configuring this luxurious outdoor shower with engineer Rodney Gibble, complete with Moroccan tiles and copper fixtures, Quadrant Development Consultants also:

rearranged the kitchen, moving all the plumbing and electrical to make if more user friendly
added all new utilities to the residence
opened up the living room for better entertaining

The finished renovation of the actress’s West Village Town House is a more open-concept design with several stunning features, most notably an incredible outdoor shower experience in the middle of downtown NYC.

Remodeling an Upper East Side Duplex

Gut Renovation Combines Two NYC Apartments into One Luxury Living Space

It’s not uncommon in New York City for someone to purchase a two-floor duplex and want to transform it into one large apartment. In the case of this Upper East Side duplex remodel, two previously married doctors had remarried, requiring more space for their blended family. This is where Quadrant Development Consultants’ years of experience renovating luxury residences in the New York City area comes in. Led by Vincent Scotto, the Quadrant team understands the intricacies of performing such a major renovation without compromising the structural integrity of the building.

For this Upper East Side duplex renovation, Quadrant Development Consultants performed a total gut renovation of both apartments before meticulously cutting out the slab.

“When you are working on combining two apartments that sit one on top of one another, it’s very easy to cause structural damage if you aren’t careful,” says Scotto. “This is why we made the opening between the two apartments by cutting out 12-inch squares one at a time.”

Once the apartments were opened up, the Quadrant Development Consultants team worked on adding some unique features to the residence, including:

A custom steel and walnut staircase with book matched walnut panels
A white marble master bath with book matched marble slabs
Powder room featuring a mirror back and a walnut live edge sink top, which is milled from a tree

Luxury Park Slope Remodel with Custom Millwork

You don’t even have to enter this Park Slope home to see the care is in the details when it comes to the remodeling and renovation work of Quadrant Development Consultants in Brooklyn. The custom double door front entrance was custom fabricated by local artisans and finished in a high gloss Ferrari red paint to make a bold statement.

In the living room, the brick around the fireplace was stripped and it was flanked with custom built-ins for the clients’ extensive book collection.
Additional book storage can be found on the stairway landing. Look closely and you’ll see this custom millwork alternates from one shelf to the next, carefully disguising a ladder that provides access to the rooftop deck.
At the owner’s request, an artist painted a mural on the sliding panel door that opens to the second floor space.

Duplex Remodel in Partnership with General Assembly Architects

Renovation Requires Relocating Kitchen to Second Floor of NYC Apartment

Working with the talented architects at General Assembly, Brooklyn-based contractors Quadrant Development Consultants transformed this West 78th Street duplex into a luxurious living space with high-end details.

Combining the first and second floors of the duplex required moving the kitchen to the second floor per the architect’s plans. Quadrant Development Consultants reworked the plumbing and electrical to accommodate new high-end appliances and custom cabinetry. They also coordinated intricate tile layouts with the architect to achieve a seamless appearance.

Two features to point out about this New York City apartment renovation include:

A custom fabricated glass and blackened steel partition off the main entrance covers the stairs. This assembly was custom-fabricated at a metals shop, where each joint was inspected by Quadrant and the architects to ensure perfection.
Custom fabricated millwork separates the office and living room. Two pocket doors seamlessly slide behind the millwork to open up the two rooms, adding flexibility to the living space.
